There is a new trend that is so infectious and you gotta
love it. I mean the African and the animal print trend. I so love the way it
stands out when it is bright and unique. This is what our folks refer to as `kitenge `.
I remember when I was a kid would dread wearing the African print.
Now I have to admit they are the fashion statement that will blow people away.
I also love the way fashion designers like John kaveke has embraced this with
some of this in the male world. The good thing is that the designs are
different depending on your style or even your tastes.
The West African are very vibrant when it comes to the
African fabric, we on the other side are people who are freaks o exhibitions
and Mitumba. Honestly when did you
give your fundi the challenge to make
you that nice outfit. Lemmi guess, you do not even know where they are located.
I stopped some of the celebrities rocking the African print
and I thought it was really cool. The good thing is that once you go to the tailor
they take your measurement. Which Mutumba stall cares about whether you it or not?
All I am saying is that you need something different for you. That which will
stand out and show your true culture and style.
Arabs wear their buibuis
and kanzus, the Asians where Saris and all their attires. How comes
we do not embrace our true self and culture? Times have changed and trying the African
print will be a good thing for change.
